If you are receiving debt collection calls with a prerecorded message to your residential phone, the first thing you need to do is to let them know that you do not consent to these calls and demand that they cease communications with you. You have to make this demand in writing. You can usually fina an address on the web, but you should send the cease communications letter by certified mail, return receipt request so that you have proof that you sent it.
After you have done that, you may be able to pursue them for violations of the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act). This is the same statute that is used to sue junk fax companies. The statutory damage award is $500 for each call and $1,500 per call if they have violated the statute wilfully.
Also, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) requires that they honor written requests like this, and stop almost all communications. Letters like this should also be sent by certified mail, return receipt request. I have posted sample letters on my web site’s law library.

Your best option may be to have an attorney help get their attention or pursue claims under the either the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) or the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
